Black Velvet Alocasia

Black Velvet Alocasia (Alocasia Reginula) is a species of flowering plant in the family Araceae. It is native to tropical parts of Asia. It can grow to be quite large, with its green leaves reaching up to 18 inches in length and its stems reaching up to 2 feet in height. This type of Alocasia can be identified by its shiny, almost velvet-like, wavy and dark blackish-green foliage, which is what gives the plant its name. The undersides of the leaves are red, adding a unique attractive feature.
