Jungle val

Jungle val, also known as Vallisneria americana, is a species of aquatic plant native to tropical and temperate regions of the Old World. It is an evergreen perennial vine found in standing or slow-flowing waterways, such as ponds, lakes, streams, rivers, and canals. The submerged parts of the plant are composed of long ribbon-like leaves, while the floating or emersed parts bear thready leaves. The plant inhabits tropical regions and is especially popular in fish aquaria. It commonly has bright green leaves in wound-like coils and produces white flowers atop long stalks that drift on the surface of the water. It is most commonly found in natural rock crevices but can be propagated through cuttings in both fresh and brackish water.

The Vallisneria americana is a hardy plant and can survive in a variety of water conditions. The pH should be slightly acidic, however, and the water should not be soft or hard. The general water condition should be changed regularly for optimal growth. They typically do best in still or slow-moving waters, so it is not advisable to have too much water circulation around the plant.
